VDA 6.1
The VDA volume 6.1 refers to ISO 9001:2000, so
that there is no restriction about validity.
The standard is applicable for direct and indirect suppliers to the
automotive industry which trade high quality products and want to be
successful on the market and for companies that want to improve their
quality management system.
VDA volume 6.1 provides the outline for a comprehensive quality management
system based on ISO 9001 and ISO 9004-1. It includes elements of other
standards like QS 9000, AVSQ (Italy), EAQF (France) and as well aspects
from the European EFQM model.
